The Whole Nine Yards Plus

Here is a shot of the ramp I built going to the deck I built, the new ramp is in the background coming in from the left.

From the street you see the arbor then the ramp  that was built for us.

All that nice cedar looks good, they even sanded the edges so no one would get splinters.

My neighbor must have been surprised to see this when he got home.

If you lose control you could end up in the street.
By the way the place that had the ramp built is   http://mcil-mn.org/index.php/programs/ramp-project  they hired Ramps R Us.

End of The Whole 9 Yards

This is the view of the front, I put the last of the dirt toward the front yard to get access to the front walk.

Had to add some dirt to the bottom of the ramp by the driveway.

Top of the ramp from the landing.

Good to see the dirt all gone, have to scrape it off the gravel.

Dirt Ramp Progresses

Here I am building the platform over the cement, it is five feet by six feet, just one foot bigger the landing I'm covering.

Here I have the decking on the frame.
The ramp is a lot farther along than this and I have the whole thing covered with pea gravel.  I will post a better picture next time.

Dirt Wheelchair Ramp

You can see all the dirt that I've been able to move, I even put some in the spot behind the new ramp by Nelson the gnome.  The soil around the house has sunk about 12 inches so I needed to add more up by the house.
Here it is to the top step but it has to go 7 inches more so it meets the level of the floor inside the house, I figured out a way to get it to the right level with what I have.

The ramp has to come all the way out to the driveway, 20 feet.  The top of the ramp is 20 inches off the ground so the ramp has to be 20 feet long.

At this point I have about a third of the pile moved.
