All the snow at once

In the news on KARE 11 they say we got 16 inches of snow yesterday and I just finished shoveling the driveway out.  I stopped and watched a movie off YouTube  it was an older Christmas movie that we had seen but can not find anymore.   I wanted to get the driveway cleaned up because they say we are going to get cold weather next and I do not want to be out there in the cold.  The cold hurts.

I got tagged yesterday my MESA (a health study group) for a sleep study, have been doing this for about 15 years. Will have to wear this fancy watch for a week then they will come get the watch and download all the data.  It looks like the phone watches you see on eBay if your on a GSM network (AT&T or T-Mobile or phones that use their network). 
 I finally got this old computer to work, I ran some tests on it, figured  out that the memory was way to low and the hard drive was just stopping.  I had an older ide drive that was newer than this one so it was bigger and faster.  I hooked up my cable, transferred the systems I needed to run this computer than spent the last two days updating it.  I saved the hot fixes I needed in an email file on line so was able to run updates that are of date and not available.
The one thing about this old laptop is that it puts all it's heat out the bottom, great if you like a hot pad and don't want kids.

Cost of ink

I figured out that ink for my printer costs over $11000 a gallon, the little cartridges are $13 each.  I decided to try continuous ink system with the ink costing 3 cent a ml instead of $3 per ml. The jars just sit along side of the printer and is filled there, the ink is sucked into the print heads through the little pipes.

This is a photo of the ink cartridges that the pipes connect to, see how they run under the snaps that hold the ink cartridge in place, the cartridges are made the same as the originals but are clear and have the hoses hocked into them.  
        From $3 a ml to 3 cents a ml, boy I love to save money....canyoudougit????

Well the old mower works great, I am lucky both mowers use the same parts, even though one is 26 Years older.

WHAT A TERRIBLE DAY!!!

Usually we get something interesting for the parade, like the rapture centers, but this year we got Machell Backman.  I think she is a crazy person and can not stand her.  They are throwing things around our yard and complaining because the grass is wet.  Rich republicans piss me OFF!  I hope they get sun burned!!

Got It Running

 From this to all together and running really well.

 We can not remember if we bought this in 1976 or 1977 but either way it sure is nice to have it running.

So it cost me $8.50 for the tune up kit from Ace Hardware and I had to check YouTube to figure out how to remove the flywheel correctly.  YouTube helped a lot, thanks.  Canyoudougit

This is the goofy bird that move into this year, after they go I will attach a metal washer with an inside diameter of one and an eighth inch so we will get the right bird.  canyoudougit

HOT DOG!!!!! Finally got through to blog with my phone!!!! I just have a net10 without all the fancy 4g stuff.  I got the mower apart to this point then was not sure how to get that top part off, came in to check it out on YouTube...they had a video on doing it so will get back to it later.   canyoudougit

Snow!!!

It was 73 yesterday, the weather really hit bad down south and here we got snow this morning. This little bit was just enough to show.  My camera broke this is taken with my cell phone, then I bluetooth it to my computer, adjust it then up load it so I can get it from the cloud with the laptop.  canyoudougit?

U S Postal Service LIES

The Postal Service is lying about the way they do business.....The ST Paul Post Office is flying an acting supervisor to ST Paul every week, putting him up in a hotel, providing a car, paying per diem, and this guy does not know what he is doing.  The whole time there is someone in the office who knows the job but is not friends with the big shot in Minneapolis MN. Post Office needs money?  They can do this but then carry on about needing money.   Makes no sense......Canyoudougit?????

The End of Windows 8

I finally got tired of the no sound in Windows 8 and went back to XP but it was a big pain.  A lot of the stuff is not supported.  I wish I could afford Windows 7 for both computers.  I am going to the in laws to fix their computers one day soon and work on some else's  that I will not state.

No Sound with Windows 8

Well I did not take windows 8, but no matter what I do I can not get the sound to work this system.  I have found a lot of nice features and it does connect to the wireless server easily, if I could get sound it would be a perfect system.

Windows 8

I have trying windows 8, I have not been able to get the sound.  It connected to my network easily, pulled in my settings over but lost half of my favorites and kill the Google stuff.  I find it hard to work my way around as this is designed for table people.  Well I tried it, going back to the older version.  I just wish I had windows 7.  Maybe I could update both so they would link easier.   Canyoudougit 

There no busy like snow business

The birds have a hard time getting lunch, the were very vocal about it.

This limb is really hanging low, can not even see the bird house.

Car has a good cover on it, my neighbors came over to shovel, they are really nice people, boy was that nice of them.

Tom's Back

Tom P is back home this weekend, he is really rough shape so not sure why but there it is. We will stay away, Wednesday he got all upset, ended up talking numbers for hours till they gave him tranquilizer.
We have been through all this before.
I got the computer to record the new channels now, my built in tuner does not record qualm so I put in a decoder to convert them to analog then the computer will record them.  I just can not get the card to change the channels, it will work with all cable and satellites systems but not a decoder for over the air set top box.
Hope things are going well for you, not great here.

Good Bye Doris

Went to say good bye to my aunt yesterday, memorial services, see died in December.  Got to see a lot of cousins I haven't seen for a long time. My cousins did a great job with the memorial. Julia's dad is in the hospital and the weather is really weird.

Weather

Not much happening here, still carving Dala horses, working with Zazzle on new products, making movies from shows I recorded so I can get them off the computer. I have ordered ink from HP to see how it works, they have the extra large size.  Trying to save money and used our Zazzle money to pay for it.  Zazzle has a lot of new things to make for people to buy.  Hope you go check it out.
     Did you see that new TV at CES?  Wow 55 inch OLED but I'll bet the price will be HUGH.  canyoudougit
